Meet Danika

Supporting and holding space for women is my life's purpose.

I came to Moon Womb the way most meaningful things arrive - through my own healing.

In my twenties I was diagnosed with PCOS (now PMOS) and Endometriosis. What followed was a long, sometimes painful, always illuminating journey back to my body - supported by plant medicine, by learning to listen to my cycle, and by discovering the profound connection between our inner world as women and the cycle of the moon. Healing through herbal medicine didn't just change my health. It changed the way I understood myself.

My Background

I am studying herbal medicine and have been supporting myself and my family with plant medicine for years. I have also had the deep privilege of walking alongside women close to me in a doula role - holding space through birth, the raw vulnerability of postpartum and the threshold moments that rewrite a woman’s understanding of who she is.

I have co-facilitated women's circles, sat under full moons with women finding their way back to themselves, and witnessed over and over again that moment of recognition - the one where a woman remembers that she has held the power within her all along.

I have spent over a decade working in education — as a primary teacher, an early childhood educator, and a forest school facilitator. That work affirmed something I carry close: that “peace on earth begins at birth”. That when we truly support and nourish women through the rites of passage they walk, we change the world.

I am also deeply passionate about Astrology, and have offered intuitive astrological readings for several years. The Moon - ruler of our inner emotional world, our feminine energy, our tides - has always captivated me. It was the discovery of cycle syncing, and understanding how our menstrual cycles mirror the lunar cycle, that became the seed from which Moon Womb grew.

In this season of my life I am a mother to two beautiful sons, living near the beach in Ōtautahi with my husband, our dog, cat, and chickens. You'll find me most mornings walking the beach at sunrise, in the garden, learning - always learning - or simply being.

Nature has been my greatest healer and my most faithful companion. It is from that place that everything Moon Womb is made.
